I know it has already been a month but I would like to recap on my wonderful 25th birthday.  Trev and I decided to spend the day at Virginia Beach.  We planned on waking up at 5 and leaving by 6.  Somehow Trevor’s alarm got set to 4 instead of 5 and we didn’t realize it until we were walking out the door to leave.  Needless to say, we got down to the beach really early.  It was a great day overall.  We had a delicious healthy breakfast at subway.  Then we walked up and down the boardwalk.  There was a lot going on because it was the day the blue angels were flying.  We found a nice spot that wasn’t too busy to put our stuff.  Then we pretty much just relaxed the whole day.  Kirra had a ton of fun playing in the sand but she was not a fan of the ocean.  The water was perfect.  Even I got in!  I did not go very far out though because ever since I saw that movie about the girl getting her arm eaten off by a shark I have been terrified of that happening to me.
We played for a few hours before the air show started.  Kirra and I were sitting in a hole that we dug down by the ocean when a huge plane snuck in from behind us and flew over our heads making a scary loud noise.  Kirra was terrified.  She grabbed hold of me and screamed and would not let go.  She eventually fell asleep but when she woke up and the air show was still happening she was not happy.  Ever since then any time she hears a loud noise like a helicopter or roller-coaster at the amusement park she freaks out and cries and wants to be held.  I think she was traumatized.  It was nice just hanging out the 3 of us and enjoying the great weather.  We left right after the show and drove to Richmond to meet my parents for dinner at the cheese cake factory.  They have an awesome mall called Short Pump there so I did a little shopping at some of my favorite stores.  We had an amazing dinner and then got delicious cheese cake for dessert.  Unfortunately by the time dinner got to us Kirra was just done.  She would not sit still she was touching (or throwing) everything she could get her hands on, and banging silverware on the table.  Trev and I took several turns taking her outside.  By the time we got in the car to head home she was so tired that she fell right asleep.

Luckily Kirra slept the whole way there and the whole way back
Kirra was starring at some people eating while we were at subway
She takes her shoveling very seriously

Trev was trying to get Kirra excited about the ocean

She eventually warmed up to it a little
Loved taking her baby with her everywhere

I love this face...I feel like she is saying, “are you kidding me"

The beach usually charges for these chairs but Kirra got it for free.
I buried Kirra’s baby and she did not like it.  She yelled at me after she saved her baby.

Kirra will kiss anyone if they have food in their mouth.  Kind of gross I know.
We asked this lady to take our picture and she told us that she was a wedding photographer

So of course she had to get a kissing picture.
It made me nervous to see these planes flying at each other.
I loved my Birthday but I hate turing 25.  I am half way to 50 now.  Before I know it I will be finding grey hair in my head and wrinkles on my face.  I felt like singing "forever young” all day.  I think I will just stop aging now and stay 25 for the rest of my life.

  1. So fun! I didn't know you had gone to Richmond for dinner; we often go to that Cheesecake Factory for my birthday! Glad you had a good day
